Usually we say that Roma in cinema are portrayed in a caricatured, cardboard and stereotyped way. However, some films allow us to see how prejudice affects both the Roma and the community where they live. We are talking about the movie Gypsy Aza. A disclaimer right away. The word “Gypsies” is used purely to quote the characters. After all, the film takes place in the twentieth century, when tolerant vocabulary was out of the question.
