Local History Project
Through the support of the EVZ foundation and the local.history funding program, we conducted this important research and gave a voice to those directly impacted by the horrific Second World War. The testimonies gathered from survivors provide invaluable insight into the experiences of the Roma community during this time.
Public event “Roma in Ukraine – Fighters for Democracy, Human Rights and Justice”
On 16 May, ARCA, Pilecki Institute Berlin, Central Council of German Sinti, Roma and Society for Threatened Peoples Germany will host a public event titled "Roma in Ukraine – Fighters for Democracy, Human Rights and Justice" in Berlin.
The Time to Remember project is an educational and memorial program for young people
Educational and memorial program for youth – “Time to Remember”. It promotes the adaptation of successful international commemorative approaches to Ukrainian realities and the creation of a lasting tradition of commemorating the memory of young people at the local and national levels. The project focuses on the Roma genocide to fight for equality and against racism, addressing the lack of memory and education about this event.
