The film “Named Voices” was presented at an international conference
From 12 to 14 November 2025, ARCA’s Senior Project Manager, Chinara Majidova, participated in the international conference “Visibilities of Memory: The Representation of Sinti and Roma in Holocaust Film.” Within the framework of the panel “Multimedia and the Cinematic Turn: Holocaust Representations in Theatres, Museums, Graphic Novels and Multimedia,” Chinara Majidova presented the documentary theatre play Named Voices (2023).

Voices of Memory and Future: ARCA’s Participation in the 5-Year Anniversary of the Program
The city of Berlin hosted the celebration of the five-year anniversary of the EVZ Foundation’s program "Young People Remember" — an initiative that for half a decade has brought together young people, activists, and educators from across Europe around the themes of historical memory, human rights, and civic consciousness.

Roma Programme Featured at One of Europe’s Largest Conferences
Over five thousand participants from Ukraine and other European countries took part in the CAFE KYIV 2025 conference, held in the German capital. Politicians, diplomats, military personnel, experts, representatives of ethnic communities and civil society organisations from Ukraine and Europe gathered in Berlin. The key topics of the event included Russia’s war against Ukraine, the rebuilding of Ukraine, and the path toward EU integration.

A screening of a movie about the Roma Genocide took place in Berlin
Named Voices was the title of a documentary screened in Berlin within the CAFE KYIV 2025 conference. The movie was created using materials from the archives of ARCA Youth Agency for Roma Culture Advocacy and interviews with Roma people provided by the Ukrainian Centre for Holocaust Studies.

Today, CAFE KYIV 2025 Conference is taking place in the German capital. This is one of the most important European events. By tradition—same as it was last year—ARCA Youth Agency of Roma Culture Advocacy is an official partner of this event. This year’s events—which are most important for the Roma community—include, among others, a panel discussion entitled Roma People in Ukraine: Fighters for Democracy, Justice, and Diversity, and a screening of Named Voices, a documentary.
