Consultation meeting on opportunities for Roma youth realization

On January 24–25, ARCA's representative, Chinara Majidova, participated in a consultative meeting on the potential of Roma youth participation held at the European Youth Centre Strasbourg, which brought together representatives of Roma youth organizations and networks, national youth councils, and experts with the aim of creating a "roadmap" for implementing the Recommendation CM/Rec (2023) on Roma youth participation. 

During the meeting, representatives of Roma NGO's around Europe, together with representatives of the Roma and Travelers Team, discussed progress in implementing the Strategic Action Plan on Roma and Traveler Inclusion (2020-2025) and announced an upcoming recommendation on equality for Roma and Traveler women and girls.

The objective of this meeting was to identify Roma youth participation needs and goals, examine practical ways to use the recommendation, and provide implementation plans within five years. It will bring together national governments, youth councils, civil society organizations, and the Council of Europe's Youth Department.
