About us
Youth Agency for the Advocacy of Roma Culture “ARCA” is a Roma youth non-governmental organization that has been working in the public sector of Ukraine since 2018, focusing its efforts on the development of the Roma youth movement, support and preservation of Roma history and culture, as well as building intercultural dialogue in Ukraine.
Our mission is to promote a positive image of Roma communities in Ukrainian society through education, media, history and culture.

Youth Day: the power that shapes the future
Roma youth today face double pressure. In addition to the usual hardships of wartime, they face discrimination based on their ethnic origin. Stereotypes and prejudices cause additional pain. In times like these, we must unite against external enemies, not persecute our fellow citizens.
“Invisible. Resilience: The Past and Present of the Roma”: An exhibition about the Roma has opened
On International Roma Genocide Remembrance Day, the exhibition center “Living Memory” of the National Historical and Memorial Reserve “Babyn Yar” opened an exhibition entitled "The Invisible. Resilience: The Past and Present of the Roma." This thematic narrative project returns to the history of those who have remained invisible to society for too long.
Commemorative events were held to mark the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Roma Genocide
On August 2, 2025, commemorative events were held at the Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Preserve to mark the International Roma Genocide Remembrance Day. The mourning ceremony brought together the Roma community, representatives of the state, international organizations, diplomats, and cultural figures.

З нагоди Міжнародного дня пам'яті про геноцид ромів і сінти, який вшановувався 2 серпня, Музей історії польських євреїв POLIN разом із польським Фондом «На шляху до діалогу» (Fundacją w stronę Dialogu) організували історичну прогулянку польською столицею для всіх, хто цікавиться однією з найтрагічніших сторінок історії ромського народу – геноциду ромів під час Другої світової війни, зокрема, темою «Роми у Варшавському гетто».

Today, August 2, is the International Remembrance Day of the Victims of the Roma Genocide. A day that has become one of shared memory. A day that for more than 80 years has been commemorated annually, preserving the remembrance of all those who perished.

Thematic-Narrative Exhibition “The Invisible”
The Invisible. Resilience: Past and Present of the Roma is a thematic-narrative exhibition about the return of visibility. Once muted, Roma voices today speak boldly, distinctly, and with a rightful claim to equality. At the heart of the exhibition is Roma identity as a form of resistance traced through history: from persecution during the genocide of the Roma in World War II to the strength, visibility, and civic engagement of Roma communities in Ukraine today.

Open Call for Participants: Summer School on Roma History "Remembering Together"
We are excited to announce an open call for young activists, youth leaders, historians, and researchers between the ages of 18 and 35 to apply for our Summer School on Roma History, titled "Remembering Together," taking place in Berlin from June 10-15, 2025!
