Roma families received supermarket vouchers and the opportunity to learn a new profession

Oct. 18, 2025 Charity events

This month, representatives of Roma communities once again received supermarket vouchers. As part of an initiative we are implementing with the Ukrainian Women's Fund, families received four vouchers worth 1,000 hryvnia each. The assistance was provided to people from the most vulnerable groups.

The program is not limited to material support. Its goal is to give people the tools to regain their independence. In addition to the certificate, participants can take advantage of educational programs and practical training: manicure or hairdressing courses, driving school, or tailoring training. Such skills help not only to provide for oneself, but also to find stable work or start one's own business.

However, we understand that such initiatives are only temporary assistance designed to support people here and now. Sustainable change is only possible when the state creates conditions for equal access for Roma to education, employment, social services, and protection of rights.

That is why systematic advocacy work remains the focus of our activities. We continue to defend the rights of Roma communities, promote inclusion, and support initiatives aimed at integrating Roma into all social processes.
