Me Ukrainatar exhibition in Drohobych

On October 1 in Drohobych, together with the artist Oleksandr Maksymov, we opened the exhibition Me Ukrainatar.

Using the technique of analog collage, the artist invites guests to find the answer to the question of who the Roma of Ukraine are, what makes them outstanding and what role they play in modern European society.

"When we were thinking about how to present Roma culture in a non-trivial way, to move away from what everyone is mostly used to, the idea of the exhibition came up," said curator Eva Raiska, "We decided that it would be interesting to make collages, especially since these are not just standard portraits of Roma, but a collage story with a certain concept.

"Me Ukrainatar" will be visiting Drohobych until October 20 at 38 Taras Shevchenko Street (Drohobychchyna Museum).

The entrance is free.
