Call for Applications – Support Programm for Roma Artists from Ukraine
We are thrilled to announce the opening of the call for applications for the Support Programme for Roma Artists from Ukraine. This initiative is dedicated to empowering contemporary artists, curators, filmmakers, musicians, and all other creative practitioners who proudly proclaim their Roma identity and originate from Ukraine. The initiative was created in partnership with the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture with the support of the Arcadia Foundation.
Selected participants will have the opportunity to receive:
- A 2-month (November, December 2023) stipend of 1500 EUR per month to support their creative endeavors.
- Mentoring, professional contact and feedback by a local curator, or art organization
- Promotion of creative projects by ERIAC, Artists at Risk support
Application Deadline: 31 October
Programme Timeline:
The Roma Artists Support Programme will commence on 1 November 2023, and successful candidates are expected to submit their completed works by 31 December 2023, in the form of a portfolio pdf, film, or other documentation of their creative results.
How to apply?
To apply for this exceptional support programme, interested individuals are required to submit the following documents:
- A comprehensive CV
- A brief biography of maximum 2000 characters introducing themselves and highlighting their creative activities
- A work proposal outlining the project they intend to work on during the fellowship
The application material might be used by ERIAC to promote the grantee`s cultural work.

Applications can be submitted in the following languages: Ukrainian, English, Romanes
This initiative aims to provide a platform for Roma artists in Ukraine, offering both financial support and mentorship to foster their creative journeys.
